As we start a new year, you might be forgiven to think it is hard to celebrate, however returning to a theme from 2020, we can be kind to one another and to ourselves. If we can do this, we can spread a little happiness. Even small gestures can make someone feel valued and cared for. Here are some ideas that you might be able to use:
Buy some flowers; for anyone
Offer to do shopping
Do some baking and share the results
Offer to make coffee
Offer to take the dog for a walk
Make time to stop and have a chat
If appropriate, suggest a socially distanced walk, or bike ride, to someone who is on their own
Send a card
Make a phone call
Kindness is always important, especially during the current Covid pandemic and at a time when we see cases rising rapidly. With the roll out of the vaccine and the hope of an end to the current restrictions, I hope we continue to remember to spread a little kindness well into the future.
