In May, Jonathan’s Voice was pleased to host a joint webinar with IP Inclusive as part of Stress Awareness Month, exploring Mindfulness: Beginning with Being.
We were grateful to be joined once again by Sally Rose. UKCP reg’d Psychotherapist – a psychotherapist, mindfulness teacher and workplace mental health consultant – whose ability to make mindfulness feel accessible, practical and relevant continues to resonate strongly with our audience.
Rather than trying to capture everything shared, a few reflections that stayed with us:
– “Take refuge in your senses… and open up to small miracles” – John O’Donohue
– Mindfulness as gently directing the light of a torch – choosing where our attention goes
– The invitation to resist the pull of ‘doing’, even briefly, and allow ourselves to simply be
– A reminder that this practice is always available to us – no app, no special conditions required
– Its stabilising effect on the nervous system, helping us build the capacity to stay steady and respond wisely under pressure
In fast-paced IP environments, it can be easy to remain in constant “doing mode”.
Sessions like this offer a different starting point – one that begins with awareness, presence, and small, intentional shifts.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Sally for sharing her insight so generously.
