Join us for a virtual coffee morning on Saturday 2nd July

A big hello to all of our Jonathan’s Voice supporters and thank you for your ongoing support.  We continue to be hugely grateful to all of those who are giving their time and fundraising for the charity, enabling us to keep speaking out for mental health.

You may remember that whilst in lock down we were able to bring together our supporters across three different continents through a virtual coffee morning and update on the work of Jonathan’s Voice.  It was fantastic to reconnect with so many of you on this really important topic and after the success of this last event we’d like to invite you to join us on Saturday 2nd July 11am GMT to share in an update 18 months on.  Clearly there are a number of things that have changed since the last update not only socially and politically but also within the charity itself and whilst we are now able to hold events in person, it is hard to ignore the convenience and reach of a virtual catch up so hope to see as many of you as we can.

There have been some changes in the charity. June Dent, our mental health consultant retired at the end of March and we are pleased to have appointed Penelope Aspinall as her successor. Another change is the appointment of two new trustees David Cox and Paul Meller who we’ll hear from in the session to get their thoughts and aspirations for the charity.  We’ll also hear from returning guest PhD student Susie Bennett who is using funds from Jonathan’s Voice to help undertake important research into suicide at the world renowned University of Glasgow Suicidal Behaviour Research Lab.

It is intended to be an informal session so do bring along your cuppa, as well as sharing on screen there will be a chat function to post ideas, thoughts and questions during the session and so lots of ways to get involved on the day. If you would like to attend the zoom call on the 2nd July please email ele.mccartney@gmail.com and we will send you a link to the session. Look forward to seeing you there and please feel free to forward on to any friends that may also be interested in attending.
