Jonathan studied at Trevelyan College, Durham University, for four years. He really enjoyed the time he spent there. We were therefore delighted to be contacted by the college to let us know that the proceeds from their Charity Ball in March 2023 were to be donated to Jonathan’s Voice. Unfortunately, no one from the charity was able to accept the college’s invitation to be there in person but we were able to send short video that introduced the charity and the scope of its work.
As well as live performances from two college bands, there was a raffle. Prices ranged from a free hotel stay at the Radisson, where the Ball was held, to a free toastie and waffle! Around 130 people attended the Ball and the magnificent sum of £1,700 pounds was raised.
We’d like to thank all those who were involved in managing this event, particularly Isaac Chan, the Charity Officer for the college, who put in so much hard work. We look forward to continuing our relationship with the college as we seek to talk to more people about the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
