The power of kindness in an unkind world

Thursday 19th June 12.30 – 1.30

A joint webinar from IP Inclusive  and Jonathan’s Voice led by Penelope Aspinall, Mental Health Consultant at Jonathan’s Voice and Barbara Lawton (BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor and Jonathan’s Voice Mental Health trainer)

In a world where the news seems to be dominated by cruelty and greed, it is more important than ever for us to hold onto the importance of simply being kind – to others and to ourselves.

In this session, we will explore some of the evidence that being kind is actually good for your mental and physical health, think about what gets in the way of being kind and look at some ideas for introducing kindness in the workplace.  Finally, we will think about the value and effectiveness of practising self-compassion.

We hope that this lunchtime webinar will encourage us to pause and focus on how simple acts of kindness can help us become happier, healthier people.
